Sai Sanjeevini Seva Mission in Flood-afflicted Uttarakhand This is a brief account of the Sai Sanjeevini Seva that a team of volunteers rendered in the Himalayan Tsunami affected regions of the Uttarakhand State in Northern India, from July 19 to August 5, 2013. It was heartening to see the Armed Forces, the Police Force, many NGOs, Corporates and individuals offering their dedicated self-less service in different fields to reassure the afflicted people of the State that the whole nation and many from across the world were with them in their time of distress. For our team it was a humbling and fulfilling experience to be a witness to the spontaneous and loving acceptance of the gift of Sanjeevini healing prayers by people in Rishikesh, Dehradun, Uttarkashi and Rudraprayag regions of the State. We sincerely hope and pray that the Sanjeevinis will enrich the lives of all our brethren in Uttarakhand by helping open channels of self-healing, self-confidence, self-reliance and self-realisation within each one of them. |
